A Norwegian fisherman discovered an orange vibrator in an unlucky cod’s stomach last week.
Bjorn Frilund, 64, discovered the damaged vibrator as he was gutting the cod. “I was astonished. It was totally unexpected. I had never seen anything like this before,” Frilund told a Norway paper.
He’s been fishing in the waters around his western Norway hometown Eidsbygda since he can remember, but said this is the first time he’s heard of fish swallowing sex toys. “The chances of winning the lottery are probably greater,” said Frilund.
Perhaps “a frustrated woman on a cruise” discarded it, he speculated, and said he believes the cod mistook the discarded dildo for a colorful octopus. “Fish eat all kinds of different things, and the dildo looks like what the fish eat,” he pointed out.
