Crowdfunded boob jobs are a thing.

Gemini Smith, 23, raised the money she needed to take her boobs from 34A to 34DD by setting up a profile on MyFreeImplants.com, where strangers paid for the chance to chat with her.

“It’s the best decision I ever made,” Smith told The Daily Mail. She said she’s always hated her breasts and was bullied in school because of them. “I was depressed really and it was awful,” said Smith. (RELATED: Kate Upton wishes her boobs were smaller)

MyFreeImplants.com allows women to create profiles, where they detail why they want a boob job and why they can’t afford it. ‘Benefactors’ then pay $1 or more to chat with the girls via private messages or webcams. Smith joined the site in July and had £4,450 just three months later ($7,470).

She said it was a great place to meet people, and met friends she can talk to about anything. Although some expected her to “show something or do something,” she said she didn’t do anything she didn’t want to. “I just said if you are going to help me and talk to me then it is because you like me for me, not for what I can do.”

She is now engaged to a man she had been messaging on Facebook.

“The surgery was just for me, it wasn’t for anyone else,” Smith said. “It was just to raise my confidence, and it has done that so much more than I could have hoped.”
