Come April 30, Chief National Correspondent for NYT Magazine and This Town author Mark Leibovich will appear at Sixth & I synagogue in downtown Washington where he’ll face the firing squad of The New Republic‘s editor Franklin Foer and NYT op-ed columnist David Brooks.

The event marks the debut of This Town in paperback, which has a new intro and new reporting. In other words, there’s a chance that the list of people who have Leibovich voodoo dolls will grow once the paperback emerges. Somehow I don’t think Leibo is getting into Tammy Haddad‘s famed White House Correspondents’ beautifully executed starfucker brunch this year in which reporters who want to cover the thing are penned up behind a rope outside like pigs. Once inside, the majorly This Town event is presumed off the record. Reporters who attend can expect to be handled by Tammy’s henchmen.

“No Tamster brunch for me, I’m afraid,” Leibovich told The Mirror. “But I guess that means more mozzarella balls for everyone else.”

The discussion at Sixth & I starts at 7 p.m. and a book signing will follow. A ticket is $14. A ticket and a book are $18.
