Mark your calendars, America, because free-birth control enthusiast and wannabe politician Sandra Fluke will appear on some suburban Los Angeles street corner on May 16 in an effort to introduce herself to voters in California’s 26th State Senate District.

A press release advocating Fluke’s candidacy proudly boasts that “national radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh generated a Tsunami of protest when he publicly called Fluke a ‘slut.'”

That tsunami occurred in February 2012, when Fluke got 15 minutes of fame for demanding that Congress force Catholic schools and other religious organizations to offer cheap contraceptive drugs.

“Fluke, now an attorney, gained international fame when California Republican Darrell Issa, chair of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, refused to allow her to testify on rules concerning the Conscience Clause exceptions in health care associated with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act,” explains the promotional press release, which was emailed to The Daily Caller by a private investigation firm called J.B. Tucker & Associates.

Fluke is running for the 26th district seat currently represented by Ted Lieu.

The 33-year-old Georgetown Law graduate was last seen in October 2012 in the mostly empty parking lot of a north Reno Sak ‘N Save grocery store. There, she delivered a stirring speech to 10 Nevada residents, urging them to vote for President Barack Obama. (Sandra Fluke delivers campaign speech to mostly empty parking lot in north Reno)

Fluke’s May 26 appearance, styled a “meet & greet,” will occur at 2277 El Dorado Street in Torrance, Calif. (“corner of Amapola Ave”).

Fluke is scheduled to make her big appearance at 7:30 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public.
