Charles Barkley got in hot water last week after he called all the women of San Antonio hefty. In a delightfully un-PC move, he is refusing to back down after he was asked to apologize.
During Sunday’s broadcast of TNT’s “NBA Tip Off,” Barkley came out swinging against the people that took offense to him calling San Antonio a “goldmine for weight watchers.” (RELATED: Charles Barkley Calls All The Women Of San Antonio Fat)
Barkley said, “If you don’t like me or the show, turn it off. And they want me to apologize. That’s not going to happen. That’s not gonna happen. You all can write letters to your momma, your daddy, your uncle. I’m going to have fun on television. You know that I’m joking around. But if y’all waiting on me to apologize, hell gonna freeze over.”
Thank goodness someone is standing up for their beliefs. If Charles Barkley says women in San Antonio are fat, then women in San Antonio are fat.
