Author Arianna Huffington had some pretty racy admissions Thursday night at the Jefferson Hotel where guests helped celebrate her new book, Thrive: The Third Metric to Redefining Success and Creating a Life of Well-being, Wisdom, and Wonder.

As The Hill reported Friday morning, during her speech, Huffington acknowledged that many things helped her rise in her career, including sleeping with Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.).

“The biggest thing I did in my career was in 1996, when I went to bed with [Franken] for a comedy bit called ‘Strange Bedfellows,'” she told the crowd, which included Franken.

Franken’s wife, Franni, was in on the joke. The couple’s three sons, who were in attendance, laughed at the idea of Franken bedding down Arianna.

Certainly the Jefferson Hotel is a good place to discuss bedding down a politico. As many know, this was the hotel where strategist and former President Clinton advisor Dick Morris had an affair with a prostitute named Sherry Rowlands. According to Star Magazine, he met her there every week for a year. As reports suggested, he had a thing for sucking her toes.
