Things got a little heated between CNN Senior White House Correspondent Jim Acosta and White House press secretary Jay Carney at the White House Press Briefing on Tuesday.

Unsurprisingly, one of the big topics was the ongoing scandal with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Carney parried multiple questions from other reporters before calling on Acosta. Acosta asked Carney to explain why it appears the Obama administration “seems to keep learning about these scandals through news reports.”

Carney retorted, bemoaning the media’s “inaccurate reporting” all the while attempting, and failing, to hide a smirk. He couldn’t resist one last jab before composing himself.

“What the president is focused on isn’t uh, ya know, glib rejoinders, it’s on getting results and finding out exactly what happened.”
