Tara, the cat who saved a little boy from a vicious dog, was supposed to throw the first pitch at a minor league baseball game Tuesday, and it went as well as could be expected when you try to force a cat to throw a pitch.
Tara’s manager, Roger Triantafilo, uploaded footage of the event to YouTube, and to TaratheHeroCat.com, because obviously the cat already has a website, a Facebook, a Twitter account and a clothing line.
In the video, Tara sits passively in Triantafilo’s arms as he picks up her paw and swats a few times at a fake ball on a string contraption that doesn’t really work. Someone starts stringing the ball along, but then Triantafilo just throws the pitch, because the whole thing is ridiculous.
