A buffalo fought for its life for six hours against two lions on Londolozi Game Reserve in South Africa, according to The Daily Mail.
The buffalo threw the lions off repeatedly, with one even flying six feet in the air.
“A swift attack by the buffalo saw one lioness go flying through the air and it looked like the showdown would swing the way of the buffalo,” said a field guide. “Slowly however, the lionesses fought back and allegiances started shifting as the big buffalo bull began [sic] was dragged down putting up a desperate fight for his life.”
At one point, it looks like the buffalo gives up as the lions try to start their meal, but he gets one last burst of energy to throw them off once and for all.
