A man posed as an actor from the “Twilight” movies to seduce and lure away a 14-year-old Iowa girl.
San Diego native and aspiring actor David LaVera posed on Facebook as Kiowa Gordon, who played the half-man, half-wolf, generally shirtless character Embry in the film series, reports The Daily Mail. After tricking the girl, LaVera drove to the girl’s small-town Iowa house looking for a rendezvous.
He pulled up to the girl’s house, posed for pictures with her and her older sister, then drove off with the 14-year-old. Her mother found out after they had left and called the police. One of Roush’s friends came across the pair later and demanded she get out of the supposed actor’s car.
The cops later arrested LaVerra after finding two swords and four daggers in his car.
‘This isn’t somebody that just wants to be friends,” Roush told WHO-TV.
“I don’t think I would have ever seen my daughter again,” she added. “And if so, it would have been to bury her.”
