Hillary Clinton’s Favorite Book Is The Bible

What about Hard Choices? With her new book just out on the market, sure seems like possible presidential contender Hillary Clinton is giving it short shrift.

Seriously, the Bible instead of her own Hard Choices? (Related: Hard Choices is also an 80’s porn film)

In a recent Q & A in the New York Times, when asked which book made her who she is, she replied “At the risk of appearing predictable, the Bible was and remains the biggest influence on my thinking. I was raised reading it, memorizing passages from it and being guided by it. I still find it a source of wisdom, comfort and encouragement.”

But she may not have a fan in Barbara Walters where this is concerned. In December of last year, the former host of ABC’s “The View” complained about lawmakers taking their oath of office with a Bible and remarked that the separation of church and state is extremely important.  “We talk about the separation between church and state and almost every president ends up saying so help me God,” she said.

Turns out Clinton doesn’t despise every member of the Fourth Estate. A few reporters to whom she gave shout-outs in that same interview: NYT‘s Helene Cooper for The House at Sugar Beach and WaPo liberal columnist E.J. Dionne for Our Divided Political Heart.
