NBC reporter Chuck Todd painted new Obama poll numbers in the starkest terms on Wednesday, declaring that the public is now telling Obama “your presidency is over.”

Todd spoke Wednesday morning on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” about a new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll focused on the Obama administration’s foreign policy.

It found that just 37 percent agree with how the White House is handling American interests abroad. More tellingly, it found 54 percent of respondents don’t believe President Obama is a leader or can “get the job done.”

The veteran NBC correspondent put the poll in apocalyptic terms for the Obama administration. “This poll is a disaster for the president,” he asserted.

“Lowest job rating — tied for the lowest,” he explained. “Lowest on foreign policy. His administration seen as less competent than the Bush administration post-Katrina.”

“And then on the issue of, ‘do you believe he can still lead?'” he continued. “And a majority believe no. I mean, essentially the public is saying ‘your presidency is over’ by saying a number like that.”

“So that’s one of those things, you’re sitting up at the White House going ‘Wow,'” Todd claimed. “Foreign policy really has, I think, entrapped them.”
