Actor Brad Pitt is following up his Nazi-decimating performance in 2009’s “Inglorious Basterds” as a World War II American tank commander in “Fury,” — “the ultimate tank movie” according to director David Ayer.

“I started this war killing Germans in Africa, now I’m killing Germans in Germany,” Pitt says in the trailer released Wednesday, which shows “a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Pitt)” leading his “outnumbered and outgunned” Sherman tank crew of five “behind enemy lines” and “into the heart of Nazi Germany” in April 1945 according to Sony’s film synopsis.

Ayer (whose previous credits include “End of Watch”) told People the film borrowed an authentic German Tiger tank from a museum for use in the film.
