A Twitter account on July 8 posted a picture of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl with a former Taliban commander, according to The New York Post.
The account, @khorasan3, is associated with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. It posted a photo of Bergdahl smiling and his arm around Badruddun Haqqani and tweeted a shout-out to Bergdahl.

It is unknown when the photo was taken, though Haqqani was killed in a drone strike on Aug. 30, 2012, so the photo would have had to have been taken before then.
Bergdahl, who was released from the Taliban on May 31 in exchange for five Guantanamo Bay detainees, is being investigated for desertion.
He is currently at a military base in San Antonio, Texas receiving care.
