You’d think in an era when JournoList, a secret online group of liberal journos, caused a big enough stir to get one of their own canned from WaPo that it might deter liberal journalists from partaking in such a thing.

But no. They’re back at the trough for more. This time around it’s more JournoList lite. It’s called “Gamechanger Salon,” comprised of about 1,000 journalists that include HuffPost‘s Amanda Terkel and Washington Bureau Chief Ryan Grim, The Nation‘s Katrina vanden Heuvel and folks from Planned Parenthood, NARAL and more. At the helm of the ship is Billy Wimsatt, a left-wing activist and political organizer.

This time it’s more JournoList Lite, with details being much more tame.

“It’s just a list of a bunch of liberals,” said Grim, who largely writes straight news stories. “I’m on a bunch of lists, they’re all pretty much the same, but I’m always looking for more invites. Ask your readers to invite me if they manage one!”

Ryan assures that he also belongs to conservative listservs “and this one is a bit more boring than those,” he says.

Never fear, the lightness of this group doesn’t detract from its lameness. And this is just embarrassing. You’ve got CNN contributor Sally Kohn instructing her network mates on how to best promote her.

According to Media Trackers, which reported the news of this new secret network, Kohn pitched her TED talk about working as a liberal at Fox News. “I would be grateful for any shares and reactions. Here is a straightforward, sample tweet[:] Watch @sallykohn’s amazing TED talk on emotional correctness: on.ted.com/Kohn” she wrote. “Thanks for everything all of you do every day to make the world a better place!”

Yeah, Sally is so amazing. Don’t know that? Just ask her! (Ugh, gross, eye roll.)

Not surprisingly, dumbass Wonkette thinks it’s A-OK for left-wing reporters to interact in a special secret group. Then again, the author, Gary Legum, a self-described “ignorant sack of shit,” is named for a class of vegetables.
