If we’re to believe our moral, ethical, and intellectual betters on the left, putting a target symbol on a map will magically cause a violent act to occur at that location. This is true regardless of whether the perpetrator ever… y’know… saw that map.
As John Nolte at Breitbart.com notes, our friends at The Daily Beast certainly thought so. They had no problem linking the two things. They saw an opportunity, and they made the most of it.
So, what might happen if a target symbol was placed not on a map, but on the face of a specific individual?

That’s the graphic at the top of Olivia Nuzzi’s no-doubt perceptive and well-written piece, “Rand Paul = Democrats’ Enemy #1.”
If putting a target on a map causes violence, what will putting a target on a dude’s face cause? There’s no way to know, because he’s a Republican and therefore the rules don’t apply.
I guess that all we can do is hope nothing bad happens to him. And if it does? Ehhhh. So what? Just another wingnut.
