Obama Isn’t Having Much Fun On His Latest Vacation, You Guys

You think you’ve got problems? Put yourself in President Barack Obama’s shoes for a minute: Everybody’s mean to you, bad stuff keeps happening even though none of it is your fault, and you never get to do anything you want to do. It seriously sucks, dude!

You’ve really let him down, America. Just ask Carrie Budoff Brown at Politico:

President Barack Obama really wanted to take a vacation. But then the world intervened.

The president’s plan to snag two weeks off in Martha’s Vineyard has been an utter failure, marking his worst attempt at relaxation since the Detroit underwear bomber consumed his 2009 Christmas holiday in Hawaii…

…As protests over a fatal police shooting in Ferguson, Missouri, spun out of control, a White House spokesman posted on Twitter that Obama had been briefed on the situation. And early Thursday afternoon, Obama was back in front of the cameras, delivering his fourth statement on chaotic world events since his vacation began.

Obama “appears to be on the vacation from hell,” quipped CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin…

Has any other president in American history ever endured such suffering? That’s a rhetorical question. Of course not.

Hey, remember when King Barry said that he was giving himself to us, the American people?

“You have to understand that if you seek that office, you have to be prepared to give your life to it… Essentially, the bargain that any president, I think, strikes with the American people is: You give me this office, and in turn, my fears, doubts, insecurities, foibles, need for sleep, family life, vacations, leisure is [sic] gone. I am giving myself to you. And the American people should have no patience for whatever’s going through your head, because you’ve got a job to do.”

Of course, that was in 2008. A promise is just a lie on a timer.

It’s okay, though, because he’s not a Republican.

Obama’s right about one thing: The American people have indeed run out of patience. No wonder he’s dissociating from us. And from the rest of the world.
