Parade Magazine interviewed House Budge Chairman Paul Ryan on a whole host of things — his father’s drinking, the pancakes he makes for breakfast when he’s back home, and so forth. They also asked the usual question reporters like to ask lawmakers: Does he watch Netflix’s “House of Cards?”The GOP big shot from Wisconsin apparently used to watch the drama, but stopped when he saw all that cheating that went on.

There was House Whip Frank Underwood and that reporter, Zoe Barnes, Frank Underwood’s wife, Claire, with the artist, and the now dead congressman, Peter Russo, who slept with a prostitute after she got him drunk, a no-no since he was in Alcoholics Anonymous at the time.

“I watched the first couple of episodes until he cheated on his wife with that reporter. It turned my stomach so much that I just couldn’t watch it anymore. His behavior was so reprehensible, and it hit too close to home because he was a House member, that it just bothered me too much. And what I thought is, it makes us all look like we’re like that.”
