Reports have confirmed that, even though Quentin Tarantino hasn’t started shooting “The Hateful Eight” western, a teaser trailer for it will accompany the premiere of “Sin City: A Dame To Kill For.”

Tarantino and the “Sin City” producer Robert Rodriguez have been longtime friends since they teamed up for 1994’s “From Dusk Till Dawn,” which Tarantino scripted and played in alongside George Clooney while Rodriguez directed. Tarantino also played a role in Rodriguez’ other film, “Desperado.”

“The Hateful Eight” almost didn’t happen after its script, only given to a handful of people, leaked in early January. Tarantino pleased a crowd at Comic-Con in July when he revealed he would still produce the movie, after being “very depressed” when it was leaked and saying it would no longer be made, while also filing a lawsuit against Gawker Media. (RELATED: Tarantino’s Leaked “The Hateful Eight” Script Is Still A Go)

However, “The Hateful Eight” trailer can only be seen in theatres. The “Sin City” sequel premieres Aug. 22.
