Students Start Social Media Campaign Against Michelle Obama’s Food Standards

An eruption of aggravation about the things American schoolchildren cannot now eat in schools is never far away in the Obama era.

Thanks to federal intervention that first lady Michelle has made her signature issue, new Smart Snacks standards created by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for over 30 million American school kids stringently limit the number of calories and the amount of sugar, fat and sodium in every morsel of food sold at schools.

Since school has started up again, students have been vocal about how unhappy they are with their lunch and snack options are at school. As Vocativ reports, a #BringBackOurSnacks campaign has been launched, mocking Michelle Obama’s #BringBackOurGirls campaign(RELATED: Michelle Obama Murdered America’s ‘Best Cafeteria Cookie’)

Other students have been complaining that their lunch is awful.
