Apple revealed some new branding along with its new products yesterday when the Apple Watch became the company’s first mobile device in years to drop the “i” from its name, but a Freudian slip from Apple CEO Tim Cook after the event indicates this may not have always been the plan.
During an interview with ABC’s David Muir about the company’s big announcements, Cook called Apple’s first new product line in years ‘the iWatch’ while explaining to Muir how Apple Watch and iPhone 6 components are manufactured in 22 of the 50 United States.
