Note to self: Do not remind Mike Tyson that he is a convicted rapist, especially while hosting an interview on live television.
Tyson recently met Toronto mayor Rob Ford, and when Tyson sat down with CP24 Toronto News anchor Nathan Downer Wednesday afternoon to promote his new show “Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth,” Downer asked whether Ford’s re-election campaign could be hurt by hanging out with, well, a convicted rapist.
Tyson did not take it well.
“Some of your critics would say, ‘You know, there’s a race for mayor, we know you’re a convicted rapist, this could hurt his campaign,” Downer said. “How would you respond to that?”
Granted, Tyson did try to brush it off at first.
“I don’t know who said that, you’re the only one I heard say that,” Tyson said. “And I don’t have no comment for that, because it’s negative and you’re being negative…and I met the mayor. And there’s nothing they can do about it.”
Then things turned sour.
“It’s so interesting because you seem like a nice guy but you’re really a piece of shit.”
