Sen. Lindsey Graham went off on President Obama’s plan for combatting ISIS in Syria and Iraq, saying the plan to not put boots on the ground in Syria is “fantasy” and that the administration’s approach to the matter is “delusional.”

“This idea that we’re never going to have boots on the ground in Syria is fantasy. All this has come home to roost after the last three years of incompetent decisions,” said Graham.

Graham, who appeared on “Fox News Sunday,” was extremely critical of the president not considering putting boots on the ground, saying it is needed in order to combat ISIS.

“I will not let this president suggest to the American people we can outsource our security and this is not about our safety,” said the South Carolina Republican. “There is no way in hell you can form an army on the ground to go into Syria to destroy [ISIS] without a substantial American component.”

“To destroy ISIL, what I was told or what I heard in your interview, what I heard won’t even come close to destroying ISIL. It’s delusional in the way they approach this,” a fired-up Graham said.

Sen. Graham also shot back at all of the detractors of what Sen. John McCain and Graham had proposed previously.

“Apparently nobody’s been listening to what Senator McCain and I have been saying for the past three years!” spewed Graham. “We said train the Free Syrian Army so they can take this fight on. Instead of training the Free Syrian Army, the president overruled his entire national security team and abandoned the Free Syrian Army.”

“This president needs to rise to the occasion before we all get killed back here at home,” he said. “This is not a Sunni vs. Sunni problem this is [ISIS] vs. mankind.”
