Tony Stewart has been cleared by a grand jury and will not face criminal charges in Kevin Ward Jr.’s death after hitting and killing him on a New York race track in early August, TMZ reports.

The NASCAR driver and three-time Sprint Cup champion spun out the 20-year-old into a corner wall on turn two, Ward then got out of his car under caution and tried to confront Stewart. Stewart struck him with his car and knocked him 50 feet down the track. Ward was pronounced dead an hour later. (RELATED: Tony Stewart Strikes And Kills Driver)

Investigators claim to have enhanced footage from the incident, but found nothing capable of charging Stewart with. The grand jury convened Wednesday to make the decision.
