On his radio show Monday, Rush Limbaugh praised TheDC’s Neil Munro while discussing his recent piece at length, which reports an unreleased poll revealing split feelings amongst Democrats on amnesty.

“From The Daily Caller, written by Neil Munro. Do you remember the name Neil Munro? There was a presidential appearance at the White House one day over the last couple of years, and the president made his announcement,” said Limbaugh, referring to the now-national holiday at TheDC. “There as supposed to be no questions asked, but Neil Munro asked the question. Tsk, Tsk. A no-no.”

“Normally, if Sam Donaldson would have done this to Reagan or Nixon, ‘oh man, what a great journalist. What a great, this guy Donaldson, he doesn’t take no for an answer, he boars right in,'” he said.

“Neil Munro, the journalist, chased the guy down to the Washington Monument. They ran right right out of the White House grounds. They were so mad at him for violating protocol,” the conservative host continued. “The press corps just jumped all over Neil Munro, but he’s still out there, still filing stories.”

Limbaugh told his audience about the poll, which among “conservative Democrats” shows a 28/23 split among those against/for amnesty, as well as a 25/21 split among “moderate/conservative Democrats.”

“Now you can see why this wouldn’t be released. It might undercut the news media’s lie that everybody is crying for amnesty, especially for Democrats,” Limbaugh said. “But this one shows there’s a big split in the Democrat Party over amnesty.”

“The bottom line is … that there’s a big gap between support and disapproval on amnesty, even in the Democrat Party … It tells me an anti-amnesty candidate could attract a lot of democrat votes,” he concluded.
