Reporter Chris Moody of Yahoo! News is at it again — trying to get a member of Congress in trouble for ditching his work for some downtime on camera for a new feature called “Extreme Recess.”
Joking, joking.
Despite the recent dustup with Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) missing veterans hearing to go surfing with him in the gorgeous blue waters of Waikiki, Moody should be applauded for getting paid to get the hell out of Washington and for convincing lawmakers’ press offices to agree to his story proposals.
You never know, you may be next if you come up with a good enough idea.
Today he’s at it again. This time, it’s dirt biking with Rep. Tim Griffin (R-Ark.), who thankfully is leaving his perch in Congress to run for Lt. Governor, so it’s unlikely he’ll face any backlash for spending time with Moody on the dirt roads of Sherwood, Ark.
He writes, “It’s not every day you see a politician flying five feet off the ground with a 235-pound Suzuki two-stroke between his legs, but come out to the Highway 89 dirtbike racetrack on a weekend when Congress is out of session, and there’s a good chance you just might.”
