MSNBC’s “Ronan Farrow Daily” featured an interview with two Ferguson protesters– including famed radical Cornel West– during which one protester opined that the Ferguson police were part of an “evil system of policing.”

West and his companion, Rev. Osagyefo Uhuru Sekou, were arrested Monday in an attack of civil disobedience. “It’s ironic, I find it, that me and Brother Sekou were arrested but the police who killed precious Michael Brown still [are] not arrested,” West said. “What’s going on?”

Sekou told Farrow the purpose of their protest was to call out the evil Ferguson police department. “Fundamentally, we came before the police to engage in an act of repentance, that we as religious leaders from around the country, all denominations saying, ‘You are part of an evil system.’ Again, our attack is not on individual police, it’s not simply about a few bad apples, but it is about an evil system; and evil system of policing in which there have been more tickets distributed among people in Ferguson than there are in the city.”
