Renee Zellweger, actress in “Bridget Jones’s Diary” and “Jerry Maguire,” hasn’t made many red carpet appearances lately, and made it pretty clear why when she showed up in Los Angeles Monday night at the Elle’s Women in Hollywood Awards.

As a note, here is Zellweger just a few short years ago, maybe looking like she had sucked on a couple lemons, but mostly looking sweet and normal.

And then here she is Monday night, a mere 45 years old, looking like she’s been trapped in a well in Colorado for the past five years.

Though she hasn’t been in a film since 2010, Zellweger stars in “The Whole Truth” with Keanu Reeves, which premieres next year. Let’s hope this doesn’t keep progressing.
