Does Al Sharpton eat anymore? Well, compared to the old days, not really.

According to a new profile in the NY Daily News, the MSNBC host has lost 175 pounds, down from 305 lbs to (precisely) 129.6 points over the past few years without “surgery, diet pills, or even a single Weight Watchers meeting.” (RELATED: Watch Al Sharpton Struggle With The English Language)

So what’s his secret? The Rev has gone six years without eating dinner.

Yup, that’s right: He doesn’t eat dinner.

At his heaviest, Sharpton was eating fried chicken in some form for breakfast, lunch and dinner. (RELATED: Al Sharpton Ticked Off At TheDC, ‘Politics Of Fear’ By Conservatives)

All he eats today, following three pieces of whole wheat toast for breakfast, is a salad for lunch with a banana. He cut red meat and chicken out of his diet late last decade and was dropping about two pounds a week early on.

“I could take all the cartoons in the tabloid newspapers, but I couldn’t take my daughter punching me in the belly and asking why I was so fat,” Sharpton said. “That was my inspiration to lose the weight. And probably the last time anyone hurt my feelings.”
