Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani said on Fox News Channel’s “America’s Newsroom” Wednesday that Americans should “assume” an attack on the United States is imminent, given the recent increase in security around federal buildings in Washington, D.C. (RELATED: Peter King On Islamic Terror: ‘Nobody Should Feel Safe)

HOST MARTHA MACCALLUM: Do you believe a hit of some form is imminent?

GIULIANI: Well, you know, I think we have to assume that it is. I don’t know that the federal government has specific information, I wouldn’t be privy to that. It reminds me of 1999, 2000 when I had to do that at the federal building in New York, ut that was based on specific advise from the FBI. We had to close city hall and change the entry policies. There was pretty specific information that led to that. So I can’t tell you if there’s specific information or this is just being done based on the fact that we don’t know that much about ISIS which is amazing.

This administration is one year behind everything. Everything that they are doing they should have been doing a year ago. They are a year to two years behind ISIS because we pulled our troops out and we haven’t been getting information from Iraq. I think this security should have been supplied a year or two ago, but we seem to be an extremely reactionary government.
