Republican Wisconsin governor Scott Walker heads into Election Day with a one-point lead over Democrat Mary Burke, according to a Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling poll.
Walker pumped up the crowd at KI Convention Center in Green Bay Monday night and played up some of his recent shenanigans: the top tweet on his Twitter profile reads “Best story ever…” next to an article link with a smiley face. The article detailed Walker writing “Go Packers” on a beam being sent from a Wisconsin plant to the new Vikings Stadium in Minnesota.
Walker, who won the governorship in 2010 and defended it with a 2012 recall win over the unions, is hoping for a Three-Peat. But to quote the great Vince Lombardi, “Winning isn’t everything. It’s the only thing.
