Does Donald Trump Have A BIG Announcement To Make?

Real estate mogul and possible candidate for something Donald Trump is coming to Washington in mid-December to speak to The Economic Club of Washington at the Marriott Marquis Hotel.

As far as Washingtonians who have spoken before the club, Trump joins the ranks of other recent speakers who include Politico‘s Chief White House correspondent Mike Allen, Charles Cook, Jr. of The Cook Political Report and PBS’s Judy Woodruff.

Trump definitely doesn’t disappoint at a speaker.

Asked if he’d be announcing his presidential candidacy, Trump aide Sam Nunberg told The Mirror, “From your keyboard to God’s ears.” Whether he was joking or not is anyone’s guess at this point.

By the way, media who wish to attend the December 15th dinner must pre-register by writing media@economicclub.org.

Say, can BuzzFeed send McKay Coppins to this?

UPDATE: There was some confusion in my exchange with Nunberg. When I asked if Trump would announce his candidacy for POTUS, Nunberg’s “yes” was actually answering a different question — whether Trump would keynote the event. I changed the above to reflect what he says he meant. Numberg wrote The Mirror, “When you asked if DJT would be announcing I responded ‘From your keyboard to God’s ears.’ I hope Mr. Trump runs for the presidency. America needs a President who knows the Art of the Comeback.”

In the course of us figuring out who said what and who meant what, he hilariously asked, “Are you pulling a McKay on me?”
