It’s been a month of firsts for the Naval variant of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, which recently conducted its first carrier-based night flights aboard the U.S.S. Nimitz late last week.

The F-35C multi-role fifth-gen fighter made its first arrested landing on the Nimitz earlier this month after design flaws prevented such landings three years ago. (RELATED: Three Years And Several Fixes Later, The F-35 FINALLY Lands On An Aircraft Carrier)
