Does it really count as a lie if the people you’re targeting already know you’re lying, but they’re okay with it because it’ll help them get what they want?
Of course it does. But that just makes it all the more amusing to watch the Democrats twist themselves into knots in the wake of Grubergate. “No, no, Obamacare wasn’t built on lies. Besides, everybody lies to get what they want. Oh, and who’s this Gruber fella you keep talking about? Never heard of ‘im!”
Now he’ll have a chance to tell his lies in front of Congress. Faux Noise:
Jonathan Gruber, the controversial MIT professor and ObamaCare architect caught on video calling the American people stupid multiple times, has agreed to testify before the House Oversight Committee next month on the lack of transparency surrounding the Affordable Care Act…
Although Obama has downplayed Gruber’s role in crafting the Affordable Care Act, White House logs show he visited 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. more than a dozen times and was paid $400,000 for his work on the project.
Correction: Gruber didn’t say that the American people are stupid. Just the ones who believed the lies he was paid big money to concoct about Obamacare. The rest of us weren’t fooled, and now we’ve been vindicated. That’s why our leaders are falling all over themselves to get away from this creep.
So far we’ve only seen a fraction of the pain and misery caused by Obamacare. It’s only going to get worse, and the people who inflicted it on us are only going to become more and more brazen in their lies. We warned them, and now all we can do is remind them.
