Oprah Winfrey’s studio was the target of a terrorist plot in 2009. A small group of terrorist considered blowing the studio up during a taping.

The group of five terrorists, according to the report on Page Six, resented her “popularity and power.” While they were planning the attack, Oprah’s show was held in the Sears Tower, a famous Chicago landmark. The group planned on targeting the studio in the building, which is the second tallest skyscraper in the United States.

Law enforcement intercepted the men after they rented a U-Haul van full of explosives and drove into Chicago.

Only two of the five men involved have been identified, according to the article. Both men, friends from El Paso, are currently in jail. One of the two, an illegal immigrant, is being held in El Paso. The other is currently being held in Chicago after he led police on a high-speed chase through Chicago waving an Islamic State of Iraq and Syria flag from his car while making bomb threats on Aug. 28, 2014.
