It’s been a busy, scandal-ridden year for celebrities. Whether they had nude photos leaked for the world to see, sold their NBA team amid a racist scandal or surprised the world with a new post-surgery face, these ten celebrities were the most searched for in 2014, and here’s why you Googled them.

And no, Kim Kardashian didn’t make it to the top of the list this year.

1. Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence had three movies come out in 2014, but that certainly wasn’t the reason anyone was searching her name. In late August, hackers accessed a massive amount of nude selfies and racy photos from Lawrence’s iCloud, and everyone got a peek at them. Needless to say, she wasn’t happy about it. 2. Kim Kardashian

3. Tracy Morgan

4. Ray Rice

All hell broke loose after video footage surfaced in September of this Baltimore Ravens running back knocking his then-fiancee unconscious in an elevator. 5. Tony Stewart

7. Donald Sterling

8. Adrian Peterson

9. Renee Zellweger

It’s easy to see why Renee Zellweger was searched for in 2014 after her Los Angeles red carpet appearance in October.
