With All Due Respect, Bloomberg TV Didn’t Have To Suck Up To A Democratic Strategist

Bloomberg Politics “With All Due Respect” show hosted by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann reached a new incestuous height this week as they featured the 9-year-old daughter of Democratic strategist Howard Wolfson and Terri McCullough.

Sure, a nice idea. Who doesn’t want to hear a cute 9-year-old girl sing a “All I Want For Christmas Is You”? And what journalist doesn’t want to do a favor for Wolfson, who was communications director for Hillary Clinton‘s 2008 presidential campaign and McCullough, the director of No Ceilings, a Clinton Foundation initiative.

But when the little girl sounds like Mariah Carey with shattered holiday vocals, asks a tipster, “Why would they let her embarrass herself?” If you need a reminder of Mariah’s horrible holiday performance, see here.

Even  Halperin awkwardly starts talking before Wolfson’s daughter is quite finished.

To make matters infinitely worse (and Washington cozy), the sucking up continues with Politico‘s Mike Allen featuring her as his “Video Du Jour” in Playbook Wednesday morning.

If it’s any consolation, the little girl sounds actually slightly better than Mariah.

Watch here. And here, to relieve yourself from the pain.
