President Obama Ruins Army Newlyweds’ Nuptials

President Obama clearly doesn’t play enough golf these days. So what’s the harm in ruining the wedding of a pair of Army captains so he can hit the green?

The worst part? Natalie Heimel and her fiancé Edward Mallue, Jr. even invited the Commander in Chief to their wedding, on “a lark” as reported by  Bloomberg Politics. And not only did POTUS not show, but he destroyed their wedding plans by making them relocate to a “lush, green lawn.”

The wedding was supposed to be on the 16th hole of Hawaii’s Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course, a coveted wedding spot. Which apparently isn’t too hard to schedule unless Obama is in town.

“It’s not difficult, but it’s based on availability,” said “Steve” from the pro shop, who soon grew testy, saying I was probably writing a story about the President and he shouldn’t talk to me. “You’re probably not trying to book a wedding here,” he continued. When I informed “Steve” that I was clear from the get-go with him about who I was and where I worked,  he replied, “I think you’re probably wanting to write a story. We have orders. We’re not supposed to discuss with the media.”

Since when is a golf course instructed not to talk to the media?

To top it all off, a tone deaf Obama sent the couple a note of congratulations while simultaneously apologizing for not being able to attend their wedding.

Shortly thereafter, either Obama’s people or the golf pro shop (it’s not clear at this point what the hell happened here) dropped the boom: the couple’s original wedding plan was being nixed. According to CNN “sources”, Obama didn’t know what had happened. But if that’s true, how come “Steve” from the pro shop didn’t just fess up, take the blame and protect the President?

Here’s the power of the press:  “After Bloomberg Politics inquired about the scheduling conflict, Obama put in a personal call to the bride.”
