This Christmas season hasn’t been particularly festive for Iris Ann Gibney of Pottstown, Pa.
The 42-year-old, married mother of three was busted for getting busy with a 17-year-old high school student in a steamy parked car last month, NBC Philadelphia reports.
Gibney, a sales associate at Victoria’s Secret at the mammoth King of Prussia Mall, met the male student at a Pottsgrove High School game in the fall.
She was at the game because she had been volunteering as a “cheer mom” for her daughter’s cheerleading squad.
Gibney began texting, tweeting and cyber-chatting with her much younger paramour. She sent him nude photos.
Things went wrong for the star-crossed couple on Nov. 15 after they drove to Hollenbach Park in Pottstown at around 10:30 p.m. for a late evening make-out session.
A local police officer noticed the vehicle because it was in the park after closing time.
According to an affidavit, the cop found Gibney and the unidentified 17-year-old male naked in the vehicle. Gibney was allegedly “performing a sex act.”
The student admitted that there was, in fact, sex occurring in the car.
Gibney pleaded for leniency.
“I’ve never been in trouble before. I can’t believe I did this. I have three children of my own. I am so, so sorry,” she said, according to the arresting officer.
After an investigation, Gibney turned herself into police just before Christmas, posting bail of $50,000.
She faces a preliminary hearing this week for criminal charges including corruption of a minor, dissemination of explicit materials to a minor and — of course, because Hollenbach Park was closed — trespass by auto.
Gibney’s husband told NBC Philadelphia he is hurt and primarily interested in keeping his family from disintegrating.
Gibney’s story has spread around the world by now, reaching as far as Australia and even Nigeria.
A strikingly similar tale unfolded last month when Molly Shattuck, an ultra-wealthy, 47-year-old Baltimore socialite, was arrested on nine counts of unlawful sexual contact with her son’s 15-year-old classmate.
