Things are not going well for the Minnesota Wild’s Mike Yeo.
Yeo just signed a three-year contract extension this off-season, but his team has dropped eight of their last ten games, a skid that shows no signs of stopping anytime soon.
The fourth-year coach must be at his wit’s end because he launched into a 90 second, profanity laced tirade during practice on Wednesday.
“Everbody get on the f*****g boards!”
WATCH (NSFW):
He raised some excellent points.
You practice how you play; if you practice like garbage, you play like garbage. It makes perfect sense.
This is Yeo’s final move. His ace-in-the hole. His “Herb Brooks moment.” If that won’t get the Wild to crank up the effort, then nothing will. Regardless of the result, that was a great exit. Speak your piece then drop the mic.
P.S. — Pretty sure I know where Yeo was heading after storming off the ice.
