Mitt Romney told donors at a Friday meeting in New York that he is considering another run for president in 2016, The Wall Street Journal reported.

“At one point during the meeting, one of the attendees asked Mr. Romney if he wanted to be president, a person present said,” the newspaper reported. “The 2012 nominee said, yes, of course.”

Since losing the 2012 presidential race, the former Massachusetts governor has repeatedly said he had no plans to run for the White House again. But in recent months, reports surfaced that he may have become more open to a run.

Would he run, Romney could find himself competing with people like former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush or New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie for the center-right lane in a GOP primary.
