As young athletes mature, some stick out from the pack in terms of pure physical capabilities.
Dmitri Acken from Windsor, Calif. is one of those players.
Acken normally lines up as a nose guard, but sometimes Windsor High School lines the 280-pounder up in the backfield and just lets him steamroll opposing teams.
This guy is a short-yardage specialist. He doesn’t have a whole lot of speed, but it takes four or five opposing players to take him down.
The Texans’ J.J. Watt is a prime example of how players lining up at different positions can succeed at the highest level, and hopefully this will open up the door for Acken to play in college.
Even if he doesn’t get that chance, it’s still funny watching him ping pong guys around. He’s a Windsor High legend-in-the-making.
