The Boston Bruins played host to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday.

After the Bruins took the lead in the second period, things started to get a little chippy between Tampa Bay center Cedric Paquette and Boston defenseman Zdeno Chara. During a third period power play, Paquette finally said enough is enough, and decided to poke the Bruins’ bear.

That’s worth another look.

What the hell was Paquette thinking?

Chara is literally the biggest player in the history of the NHL — the Slovak is 6’9″ without skates — and one of the baddest men on the planet. Anyone that tries to fight him is basically going up against Andre the Giant with knives strapped to his feet.

Serves him right.
