Three days after Mitt Romney spoke to the Republican National Committee in San Diego about a possible third run at the White House, famed-businessman Donald Trump slammed the idea from the GOP 2012 nominee. During his weekly appearance on “Fox & Friends,” Trump said that Romney “choked like a dog” and called the final month of the Romney campaign “a disaster.”

Trump, who has pondered a potential 2016 run himself, also mentioned that issues such as Romneycare and his 47 percent comment would become central issues in another Romney run.

“I supported Mitt Romney and he didn’t bring out the people. He choked in the end,” Trump said flatly. “The last month was a disaster. He should have won that election. He was going against the president, who was absolutely not good and not doing well.”

“Frankly, he just choked, choked like a dog, and we cannot allow that to happen again. The Romneycare is still with you, many other issues including the 47% statement that’s going to be brought up again, and he’ll lose for the same reason,” Trump said of Romney.

“But most importantly, some people cannot get the ball over the line and he was never able to get the ball over the line. We can’t do it again,” Trump said. “He’s a nice man, but we can’t do that again. We really need help in this country. This country is going to be a disaster if we keep going along the way we’re going.”

“These people are not going to be beating Hillary Clinton. I can tell you right now,” Trump added.

The businessman also echoed his comments to “Morning Joe” last week on a potential Trump 2016 bid, telling the “Fox & Friends” team that he would determine his political future over the next three or four months.
