Who could forget the bombastic personalities of former NFL stars Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson?

Despite not seeing the field for a few years, Owens and Johnson could potentially be given another shot in the NFL. Last week the NFL announced the creation of a new Veteran Combine. The combine is open to all veteran free agents and will take place on March 22 in Tempe, Arizona at the Cardinals’ training facility.

The combine will give older guys a chance to showcase what they’ve still got through position-specific drills, timing, strength testing and various other types of workouts. In the past, veteran free-agents were only able to schedule individual work outs with teams and workouts only took place if a team was already interested in a player. The new combine enables veterans to show off their skills to all 32 teams.

Though more beneficial for younger veterans who may have fallen through the cracks on team’s radars, the veteran combine will definitely be appealing to egotistical former stars, like T.O. and Ochocinco, who cant get enough of the spotlight.

Owens last played for the Seattle Seahawks in 2012, but was cut by the team only 20 days into training camp. Chad Johnson currently plays for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League.

Whether it be a publicity stunt or a legitimate attempt to make an NFL roster again, it would surprise no one to see Owens and Johnson participate at the inaugural veteran combine.

The NFL says it expects to see around 100 free agents compete at the combine.
