Eugenie Bouchard caused quite the controversy during a post-match interview at the Australian Open on Wednesday.

After destroying her opponent, an announcer asked the 20-year-old Canadian to do a twirl and show off her pretty “outfit.” While she first appeared surprised and embarrassed, Bouchard was a good sport and gave a simple spin, as Serena Williams had done the same the previous day.

Needless to way, what started as a harmless joke quickly exploded into liberal outrage the world over. Some folks on Twitter — including tennis great and noted liberal Billie Jean King — condemned “twirlgate” as totally inappropriate and sexist.

Seriously, #twirlgate is trending. Can’t make this up.

Still, the 2014 WTA Newcomer Of The Year didn’t take it too seriously; in response to the incident, Bouchard said that, “[she was] not offended. [She’s] fine with being asked to twirl if they ask the guys to flex… [She thinks] it was an in-the-moment thing and it was funny.”

It’s pretty clear why all the liberals are mad. Bouchard is the #7 ranked player in the world, and it’s not fair that she’s not only really good at tennis, but also just about the cutest thing on the planet.

The Left’s “War On Women” continues; women can’t be both pretty and talented because then it’s sexist toward all the ladies who aren’t. Them’s the rules.
