The Secret Service removed what is apparently a small unmanned drone from the White House lawn Sunday night, but White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Monday it does not pose an ongoing threat.

“There is a device that has been recovered by the Secret Service at the White House,” Earnest said in New Dehli, India, where Michelle and Barack Obama are visiting. “The early indication are that it does not pose any sort of ongoing threat at the White House.

The Secret Service did not immediately comment on the device, but Earnest did not deny the object was an aerial unmanned drone, reports The Associated Press.

It’s unclear whether Obama’s daughters, Malia and Sasha, were in the White House when it was found.

The White House was dark Sunday night, and emergency vehicles gathered near the southeast entrance, reported the AP. The entire perimeter was on lock down until 5 a.m., and a dozen Secret Service agents searched the lawn after dawn.
