A cute Doberman puppy met a horrible fate Friday.

A Florida woman is facing animal abuse charges for allegedly drowning a 2-week-old puppy in a toilet after airport officials at Central Nebraska Regional Airport told her the puppy was too young to fly, the New York Daily News reports.

Cynthia Anderson, 56, had two adult dogs and three newborn Dobermans at the Central Nebraska Regional Airport. Airport officials told Anderson that her pups had to be at least eight weeks to fly, so she had family come pick up two of the three puppies.

Anderson tried to board the flight by hiding the two adult dogs and a puppy in her carry-on luggage, but airport officials denied her again, the New York Daily News reports.

Police said Anderson was seen entering an airport bathroom before a different woman found a dead puppy in the toilet, the Orlando Sentinel reported. An autopsy found the puppy died by drowning. Anderson was arrested and faces animal abuse charges.

The other puppies are at the Humane Society.

“They’re doing great,” Laurie Dethloff, executive director with the Humane Society, told the Sentinel. “They started off a little scared but are adjusting well.”
