Thursday night’s Islanders-Flyers game wasted no time in dissolving into an all-out melee.
There must have been some previous bad blood between New York’s Matt Martin and Philly’s Ryan White because the pair dropped their sticks and started throwing haymakers about two minutes into the game.
Martin appeared to be in control until a right-hook from White caught him right in the nose.
Martin was forced to leave the ice with a broken nose, but New York was still able to pull off a win without their left winger. The 3-2 victory snapped the Islanders’ three-game losing skid.
