“Saturday Night Live” celebrated its 40th anniversary with a three and a half hour show Sunday night on NBC, and it opened up with five-time host Justin Timberlake interrupting former cast member Jimmy Fallon during his opening monologue.

The pair paid a musical tribute to some of the show’s most memorable skits, and of course Timberlake brought back “Dick in a Box.”

And obviously there was more cowbell.
